You may or may not know that as a side project, we started The Monster Milers. It's a 501c3 volunteer and rescue organization dedicated to getting dogs adopted within the running community. Each year we host a 5K race at The Navy Yard and invite local rescues and shelters to bring adoptable pups to introduce to nearly a thousand runners, volunteers and spectators.
6abc has been a huge supporter of The Rescue Run 5k and will be running a PSA for our event between now and race day, September 25th. Check it out!
If you'd like to join us on race day, register now!
It's a chip-timed 5K and all runners go home with a tech-tee. (Women's sizes are available!) There will be 10 rescues on site before and after the race, as well as food trucks and a dj/band. Runners can form teams on our website for fundraising competition and camaraderie. It's a wonderful day of celebration. Run for rescue with us!
