Do the right thing! License your pooch!

Did you know that every dog in Philadelphia is required by law to be licensed but less than 20% are? Is your pup licensed? If so, great! If not, what are you waiting for? (You probably didn't know it was a requirement. It's not well publicized, don't worry. You're not alone!)

Licenses are only $16 for a spayed/neutered dog. On ACCT's (Animal Care and Control Team) website you can easily renew or purchase your license. You’ll receive a tag in the mail from ACCT for your pup’s collar in case he/she goes missing. We recommend that all dogs (and cats) wear tags with ID 24/7. (And better yet, also talk to your vet about microchipping.)

Tags and chips are your dog’s quickest ticket home if the unthinkable happens.

Bypass the shelter during a crisis - make sure your dog is tagged and licensed.

Dog licensing is processed and maintained by ACCT Philly, our City's intake shelter.

ACCT is always looking for volunteers, foster homes and adopters. Learn more.
